helped her team to bring home the
gold in North clay.
The Newmarket Iced Energy Ele-
mentary skating team placed 3rd at
the Newmarket Synchro Capers Invi-
tational Competition - which was
held on January 21st, 22nd, and 23rd
2011.
The team went on to the Ontario
Regional Competition in North Bay
on February 111h - 13th. They com-
peted against 13 other Elementary
teams. They won the (Gold medal -
which gives them the title of Ontario
Regional Champions.

This team is comprised of 1:1 - 8 to
13 year olds. They practice twice a
week. They have one off ice practice
and one ice practice which Stas theta
skating at 6:00 ant to 7:30 am every
Wednesday morning including the
Christmas 11oliday break. 'There are
team members that get up at 1:31) in
the morning to stake these practices.
(;race's mom Samantha says they
have a lot of fun together. "'they have
had slumber parties, Christmas par-
ties, skating parties. The fun is what
fuels the girls for those early morning
practices."
Grace's cousins Cameron and Lau-
ren Jenkins and aunt Charlotte also
live in brand Bend.
