Heart and stroke volunteer guest speaker at WI Lakeshore Advance Jose Parker, a volunteer with the Lambton Heart anti Stroke Foundation was guest speaker at the February Grand Bend Women's Insti- tute meeting. From the informative discussion we learned as many women as men die of heart disease and stroke. 'these diseases are the leading cause of death among Canadian women. Few women are aware of their risk factors and how to manage them, and they often ignore their symptoms.
