In the mid 1980s a group of people realized locals and visitors wanted sontething to do in the winter, and that premise continued. This year 18 boxes were carved with a reminder of the late 1980s or the beginnings of carnival. As in so many other carnivals the kids who have a chance to check out the entertainment at the school were excited and had a lot of fun with their peers. Baseball, Olympic, shuffleboard and golf participants braved the cold and the snow - the real testament of this two -weekend event. Unlike many of the past 25 carnivals -this year there is no shortage of snow. Next weekend there is more activities that include the parade and the fireworks. 'There is a craft show, 3 on 3 hockey, firemen's breakfast, the infamous waiter's race and lots more. 'Bike a tour downtown- many of the business sector stays open all year and would love to have you stop by. There is lots of entertainment and many places to dine.
