is seeking an Assistant Pro.ram Supervisor to join
our multidisciplinary team.
This is a part time position covering a LOA
for up to one year.
Qualifications would include a post secondary diploma
or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic
recreation, or kinesiology from a community college
or university.
Availability for weekends and some
evenings is required.
Position to begin mid- February.

GEORGE APPEL
Judy Jowell and family would like to take this op-
portunity to sincerely thank all friends, neighbours
and relatives for the great outpouring of sympathy
and support as well as flowers, cards, calls and
bed during our recent Toss of George.
Thank you to Haskett's Funeral Home for their
professionalism and kindness and to Rev. Gray-
hamno Bowcott for officiating George's service, as
well as Oakwood Inn for their allowing us the use
of the pub for George's wake.
The warmth and compassion shown by everyone
will not be forgotten.

S. DIANE
MALCOLM
With sadness, we announce the peaceful
passing of Diane Malcolm (nee Smi-
bert, Hudson), age 69, after a long and
courageous battle with cancer on Thursday,
January 20th, 2011, surrounded by family at
her Grand Bend home. Diane was prede-
ceased by parents, Sam and Phyllis Hudson
of St. Thomas and, former husband, Barry
Smibert of Kitchener -Waterloo. Diane was
the beloved wife of Keith Malcolm of Grand
Bend and devoted mother of sons, Scott
Smibert (Lisa) and Trevor Smibert (Lisa) of
Kitchenor-Waterloo. Diane will be missed by
brothers Terry Hudson (Jackie) of Strath-
roy, David Hudson(Nadine) of Dallas,
Texas, sister Bonnie ox (Jim) of Coiling -
wood, mother -In-law Marjorie Malcolm of
Mitchell and brother -law, Bruce Malcolm
(Gayle) of Slmcoe. She will also be missed
by Barry Smibert's family: Maureen (Don),
Wanda and Vaughn and her aunts, uncles
and cousins. Diane worked for BMO Finan-
cial for many years and was co-
owner/manager of the pet store, The Ani-
mal Inn, for 25 years at the Conestoga Mall
and Waterloo Square In the Kitchener -Wa-
terloo area. In recent years, with husband
Keith's help, Diane took up and very much
enjoyed the game of golf. It's that zest for
new things in life, along with Diane's loving
kindness and gentle wisdom that will be
deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Heaven Is a brighter place for her presence.
Family and friends will be received at the
Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St.,
Mitchell on Saturday, February 5, from 2-4
and 7-9 p.m. where a celebration of Diane's
life will be held on Sunday, February 6, at
2:00 p.m. followed by a reception. Memori-
al donations to the Canadian Cancer
Society (Kidney Cancer) would bo appre-
