'FORDYCE,
Quite a large number gathered at the
home of William John Yodd, and spent
an enjoyable evening in music and (lan-
cing and other games on Friday evening
last.
Mrs. C. Milner and her daughter,
Mrs. L. Milner, are on a trip to Damas-
cus, Muskoka and other points.
Mr. P. Gibbons was cutting wood
with the gasoline engine at D. °Talley-
han's this week.
Mrs. Peter Mason, we are glad to
hear, is getting along nicely, at least as
well as can pe expected.
Miss Ester Bruce is at present engag-
ed with Alexander Perdon for a short
Itime.
Mr. J, Turner and wife are at present
visiting in Oulross for a few days and
John Champion is doing his necessary
chores.
Just bemuse she is a woman, there
are times when cr., very woman needs he p
and strength in the form of a blood -
building tonic.
To thousands of girls and women Dr.
Williams' Pink Pills have proved a bless-
ing, because they enrich the blood, give
strength and r,.‘stcre tone to the aenu,g
neve. The enaemie girl who is lan-
guid tie 1 pale, the wife whose batik
feels Id; breakibg; the matron who
health fails as she reaches middle age -
for all such sufferers, Dr. William
t Pink Pills are invaluable, because ill
health in woman is usually aused by
poor bk0.1 or insuflieleat blood, These
pills have cured thou.auds of others,
why not you? Mrs. 0. Morino, Wall -
brook, N. S , says: "It is impossible
for me to say too much in praise of Dr.
William's Pink Pills. I bi.ve been a
great sufferer from those troutles ,thet
make the life of so many womeidin
most constant misery. Pains in the
back and side racked and toOdred
My nerves seemed to give4ttt, and at
times could do no house4ork, And °My
women who have similaY'y suffered kno N
what I endured. lAked medicine after
medicine withot4Any benefit, and was
finally persuatleed-to try Dr. William's
Pink Pills. Soon after starting the
pills I found an improvement, red as I
continued their use my health and
strength returned, and I now feel t s
well as ever I did in my life, and I ern
relating my exrerience merely in the
hope that it may lead some other suffr-
ing woman to renewed health. I may
add that my mother suffered from rheu-
matism, so badly that she had to URCt t.
crutch. and Dr. William's Pink Pills
completely restored her to her usual
good health.

The farm of Chas. Cook, 6th con., has
been leased to Jesse Wilbee.
Last week Richard Mitchell, of Kel-
field, Sask., arrived here on a visit,
combining business and pleasure. He
still owns his fine 100 acre farm on the
llth con.
Reeve Livingston and Deputy Reeve
Brown were attending Huron County
Council last week at Goderich.
J. M. Knight, 12th con., closed a bar-
gain with Peter McDonald, of Plenty,
Sask„ for the fine 100 acres immediate-
ly East of his own known as the "Leck-
ie" farm. The price was $5,250. This
gives Mr. Knight 250 acres so that he
will be better able than ever to swing
out along broader lines of agriculture.
We wish him success in his undertaking.
Mr. McDonald has 320 acres in the
West and hence the reason for selling
here.

L IVE STOCA, MARKETS
Toronto, Feb. 2 -There was very
light run of cattle offering to -day, the
smallest Monday market for some time
past. Buyers, however, were still far
from being keen on the job, and com-
mission men failed to get prices any
higher than last week's closing figures.
Several loads of good quality were held
at higher asked prices, but up to noon
were still unsold. The market practi
cally held steady with last week, nei-
ther higher nor lower, which means 75c.
lower than two weeks ago.
Hogs were steady at Thursday's
prices.
Light ewes a little firmer.
