A scrumptious turkey dinner, with . all the trimmings, served by the Anglican Church ladies, was enjoyed by all. A very meaning- ful Christmas reading was given by Donna Sutton, followed by Joan conducting a carol sing with Anne Pritchard on the piano. Joan had two Christmas contests that had every- one using their thinking caps and giving away more prizes. Reeve Ben Van Dk penbeek presented Roads Supervisor Wayne Todd with a watch for 25 years of service to the Ashfield and Wawanosh wards at the town- ship's recent Christmas party. Gordon Barger also received a watch on his retirement after six years as supervisor at the Ashfield Landfill site. Bruce Fisher, assistant road supervisor of the Colborne ward; Kirk Livingston, chief build- ing official; and Steve Millan, part- time road department employee, received recognition for five years of service. 1 wishes a Merry Christmas From everyone at Purple Grove, we wish all our readers a very merry and blessed Christmas and all the best in 2010. The Purple Grove Christmas Party was well attended and enjoyed by all. Thanks to Jo Reid and Diane McCulloch for organizing the evening. The potluck supper was delicious.
