Memory Tree
For the month of December 2009 you are invited to participate in the "Memory Tree" located in the Terrace Room, Wingham
Hospital. Bring your own ornament, or place one provided, on the Memory Tree — in memory of a loved one- family member, friend,
neighbour. A "Memory Book" is available to write down a 'memory of your loved one. Take time to 'sit a while' with your thoughts of
the one you are grieving. For more information, contact Kathy Procter, Huron Hospice Volunteer Service, 519-357-2720.
Missing Equipment
Occasionally when patients travel from the hospital to another hospital, a nursing home, or home, they borrow some type of mobility
equipment, such as a walker, or wheelchair and cushion. This is often a busy time for people and the equipment is not of their first
concem. However, we are finding increasingly that some of the hospital wheelchairs, cushions and walkers are missing and this can
have a significant impact on our patient care. If you or a family member may have borrowed such equipment, please check your
trunk, back porch, nursing home room etc. for items belonging to Wingham Hospital. Their prompt return is very much appreciated.
Bring Your Medications
When you are coming to the Emergency Department or are being admitted to the hospital, please bring all your medications with
you, both prescription and over the counter remedies. This will help us to know exactly what medications you are taking and will
improve our ability to provide the best possible safe care.
Diabetes Education
