Lucknow Central Public School teacher Kevin Ashley had his
head shaved by Salty Murray of Shear Design for a good cause.
LCPS raised $450 for its Terry Fox Foundation National .School
Day and Ashley promised the school he would have his head
shaved if the school raised over $400.

On Tuesday, fed . steers and
heifers sold on a good steady
market. Choice steers and
heifers sold 80.00 - 82.00 with
sales to 87.00. Second cut sold
78.00 u 80.00. Cows sold on a
good strong active market at
prices $1 - $2 higher.
On Thursday, veal sold on a
strong active trade. Lambs sold
$5 - $10 higher. Sheep and
goats sold on a stronger market.
On Friday, calves and year-
lings sold on a good strong
active trade. At the vaccinated
sale, good quality cattle sold on
a strong active trade.
There were 232 steers on
offer.
There were 187 heifers on
offer.
There were 377 cows on
offer. Export type sold 36.00 -
44.00 with sales to 66.50; Beef
cows sold 35.00 43.00 with
sales to 49.00; D1 & D2, 39.00

There were 21 bulls on offer

long time Lucknow and area resident,
Eldon.
Sympathy is also extended ' to Joan Eadie, Anne

passing of their father, Lester Ferguson, last week.
. The town's annual Santa Claus parade and tree
lighting were celebrated last Friday evening. What a
great way to kick off the holiday season.
Another great way to start the Christmas season
was to 'enjoy the music of Soundsation at the
Lucknow United Church on Saturday evening.
. Marie Scott and Jean and: Cierra Johnston spent a
week in the Dominican Republic to attend Marie's
granddaughter's wedding. While there, . they • visited
a schoolfor underprivileged children where Jean
and Cierra presented them with school supplies
from students and staff at Lucknow Central Public
School. They report it was a real eye-
opener to see the kids excitement and
mu ` fi g gratitude for these gifts.
Residents at River Valley senior
apartments are enjoying visits once a week with
students from Lucknow Central Public School. Six
or seven students participate in a program called Me
to We where they interact with some of the seniors.
Joan Black is their teacher and all are finding it very
interesting.
Drop in shoot winners for Nov. 23 were Shirley
Bolt, Caroline Menary, Bruce Raynard and John
Harris. Most shoots were Nancy Radke and Lenore
Glenn. Lucky draw winners were Jean Swanson and
Frank Alton.
Winners for Nov. 27 were Nancy Radke, Caroline
Menary, Lillian Irvin and Harold Elliott. Lucky
draw winner was Joan Robinson and Gerald
Wagner.
