• FINLAYSON
Joan Ellen Maureen (Peard) Finlayson, on
Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 at the Kincardine
Hospital at the age of 72. A long time resident
of Ripley and recently Kincardine. Boni in
Toronto on February 9, 1937 to her late parents
Jean Hunter and Jack Peard. She is survived
by her two sons Ted Finlayson (Junior) and Rob
Finlayson both of Ripley and four brothers and
their wives. William (Naomi) of Scarborough,
Jack (Marg) of Port Robinson, George
(Yvonne) of Trenton and David (Carla) of
Kitchener. She will be lovingly remembered by
her four grandchildren Andrea Finlayson,
Natasha Austin, Scott and Craig Harrison and
five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased
by brothers Robert and James and long time
companion Jerry Platts of Ripley. Saddened by
her loss she will be fondly remembered by Ann
and Ted (Senior) Finlayson and Kelly O'Grady
all of Ripley. Jack Hyden and Laura Dahmer
are two special friends of Joan and will miss her
greatly. We thank you both for the companion-
ship, kindness and support you so lovingly
gave through the years. Joan was well taken
care of by Dr. Smith, Mary McEnnes, Judy, Liz
McDonald and Rose and we thank them and all
the other health care professionals at Home
Care, the Kincardine Medical Clinic and the
Kincardine hospital. Joan was a member of the
Kinlough Pentecostal Church since 1985. She
will be missed by' Pastor Leo and Cora Duister,
Laura Dahmer, Mary Lou Richardson and all
the other members of the congregation. Joan
will be remembered for her love andloyalty "
her family and friends and the strength ,she
received through them and the love of the Lord.
We invite all for a time to remember Joan on
Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009 at the Kinlough
Pentecostal Church at 11 a.m., 18 Paxton
Street, Kinlough. MacKenzie & McCreath
Funeral Home, Ripley, is entrusted with
arrangements. Information can be obtained on

The family of the late Gordon Robb would like
to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone for your
kindness on the recent loss of our dear hus-
band, father and grandfather. The cards, calls,
food, flowers and donations were very much

Thank you to the Ripley Fire Department for
putting out the shed fire on Monday, Nov. 23.
Also thank you to Keith Pollock, Kempton
Construction for their immediate help during
and after the fire in cleaning up and getting
hydro to our barn and to Sam Snobelen for the
use of his tractor. Thank you to all of the neigh-
bours who helped out that day, as well as
since, Gary for bringing lunch for the firemen. A
special thank you to the courier who called in
the fire. We are truly blessed to live in an area

Section 238 (2) and By -Law 2007-130 of the Township of Huron -Kinloss every
municipality and local board shall pass a procedural by-law for governing the calling,
place and proceedings of meetings,

Township of Huron -Kinloss to change the regularly scheduled Planning Meeting for
December 14th, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. to a Special Council Meeting for Emergency
Management and Accessibility Training.
