Two individuals arrested in
Wingham in relation to shooting
arrest of the suspects wanted in connec-
tion with this investigation, the Ontario
Provincial Police (OPP), the OPP
Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB)
under the direction of Detective Inspector
Scott Naylor were requested to provide
the resources of the OPP Tactical and
Rescue Unit, the Emergency Response
Team and the Huron OPP Crime Unit.
Currently, police have arrested two indi-
viduals in relation to this ongoing investi-
gation. Further information will be
released as it becomes available.
At approximately 5 a.m. on Nov. 22,
Hanover Police Service responded to a
report of a drive by shooting in the area of
11th Avenue in the Town of Hanover. As a
result of that incident, one male had to be
• airlifted to the London Health Sciences
Centre with serious injuries.
The Hanover Police Service investiga-
tion led to the town of Wingham where
the °Wingham Police Service assisted in
locating suspects in a residence m the area
of Scott Street.

The Ripley -Huron Fire Department responded to a fire at the
farm and of Bill and Colleen Rutledge near Ripley on Nov. 23 at
about 11 a.m.The Lucknow Fire Department was there just min-
utes after and both departments were there for several hours
containing the barn fire. Bill Rutledge said there was approxi-
mately $200,000 damage to tools and machinery that were locat-

TAXES DUE REMINDER
The final installment of the 2009 tax levy is due on November 30, 2009. Tax payments
must be received at the municipal office by the due date. Tax payments can be made in
person at the municipal office, by regular mail, or at the CIBC Coderich branch only.
Interacldebit card services are accepted at the office as well as post-dated cheques for.
Your convenience. Telephone/Internet banking is available through most major banking
institutions. Pre -authorized payment is available by completing a form from the office
and providing a VOID cheque. After hour payments may be left in the letter sot located
at the front do�r.
Taxes not paid by the due date are subject to interest of 1.25% per month. Failure to
receive a tax notice does not relieve the taxpayer from responsibility for payment nor the
liability of : penalty charges for late payment.

The Wog industry Loan Loss Reserve Program assists pork producers
in dealing with immediate liquidity pressures by providing long-
term loans to hog operations. To be considered for a loan under
the program, hog producers must provide a business plan to a
participating financial institution which demonstrates that their
business can be viableand has a reasonable prospect of repaying
the loan.
Eligible producers are individuals, partnerships, corporations and
cooperatives that currently contribute to hog production in Canada.
Applications will be accepted until March 1, 2010. However, producers
are encouraged to present their business plan to a participating
financial institution before the deadline to ensure access to
government backed funding.
