HAWK to perform

HAWK Theatre held a dress
rehearsal on Nov. 15 at the
Lucknow Town Hall Theatre
for their Christmas play
"Christmas in the Family".
The play, written by Harold
Menary and Paige Miltenburg,
is a look at how members of
the same family look, at the
holiday with a different per-
spective. The play is based
around Grandma (Jackie
Dejong) who has seen many
holidays seasons . and Wies to
pass on the positive aspects of
the holidays to her children
and grandchildren.
The play deals with
Grandmas_ ' children Alvin
(Jonathan Nelson), Ruth (Joan
Nelson) and ` Joan (Yvonne
Brewer) who don't understand
how much the special time of
year means to their mother.
The grandchildren also :think
their grandmother grew up in
very olden ` tunes and have a
hard time relating to her until
they really sit down and listen.
In the end thegrandchildren
try to find the real meaning of
Christmas.
It's a play that will try to
make you laugh with its witty
one liners and the funny way
the characters interact with
each other. It's a family that
love each other and find_ a way
to enjoy the holidays through
humorous dialogue and inter-
action.
