Total receipts at Brussels
Livestock Market for the
week ending Nov. 6 were
3,199 head of cattle . and 595
lambs and goats.
On Tuesday, fed steers and
heifers sold on a steady mar-
ket. Choice steers and heifers
sold 81.00 - 85.00 with sales
to 88.50. Second cut sold
78.00 - 81.00. Cows sold on a
strong active trade.
On Thursday, veal. sold on a
good strong active trade at
steady prices. Heavy lambs
sold $5 - $8 lower. Light
lambs, sheep and goats sold
steady.
On Friday, steer calves $2 -
$3 higher while all other cat-
tle sold on a steady market.
There were 266 steers on
offer.
There were 219 heifers on
offer.
There were 341 cows on
offer. Export type sold 35.00 -
43.00 with - sales to 56.00;
Beef cows sold 35.00 - 42.00
with sales to 52.00; Di & D2,
38.00 - 46.00; D3, 33.00
38.00; D4, 23.00 - 33.00.
There were 24 bulls . on
offer selling 35.00 47.00
with sales to 60.00.
There were 211 head of
veal on offer. Beef sold 95.00

Congrats to Walter Scott on 75th birthday
Congratulations to Walter Scott, who "Bud" Thompson, who showed a slide
celebrated his 75th birthday at ipcknow presentation of war time events which
Fitilayson's with his family.
Several people enjoyed a fun and •
games night at St. Peter's Anglican Church on Friday.
Saturday was a busy time at the Lucknow United
Church as they 'held their annual bazaar and soup and
sandwich lunch. • •
The town was busy on Saturday and Sunday as many
enjoyed touring local homes and business decorated for
Christmas by area businesses. What a great job done by
all. A special thank you goes out to the families who
opened their homes for all to see.
A capacity crowd filled the Lucknow Legion on
Saturday evening for the annual Remembrance Banquet.
The guest speaker was David Thompson, son of the late
iv ham 19w1e his father participated in.
A short but impressive Remembrance
service was held at Pinecrest Manor on Sunday with
members of the Lucknow Legion Branch 309 in atten-
dance..
Drop in shoot winners for Nov. 2 were Caroline
Menary, Grace Finnigan, John Harris and Ross
Errington. Most shoots were Lenore Glenn and Frank
Alton. Lucky draw winners were Jean Swanson and
Harold Elliott. •
Winners for Nov. 6 were Mary McIntosh, Elaine
Errington, Stewart Lane and John Harris. Most shoots
was Dorothy -Hamilton. Lucky draw winner was
Caroline. Menary and Gerald Wagner.
