Many of us in the Grove were busy visiting and having family gatherings. We are very blessed to live in this coun- try of Canada and a wonderful car- ing community. The CKNX Healthcare radiothon sure was suc- cessful and' an indication of how we value our rural community health care professionals. Thanks to every- one involved in that event! Last weekend the Ripley 4H Sheep Club was at the .Brussels Show and Sale with eight members participating. There were many beef project animals there also from as far away as Stayner. A very successful day and the Ripley club wishes to thank the , many sponsors who sup- port this sale. Recently Mary Anne Kukoly attended a 75th birthday for Shirley Gliders of Clinton. Gilders; Annetta and Bill Robinson enjoyed a Colwell get- together at Mary Anne's. Mary Anne visited last week with Isabel Brook at Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow and Shirley and Bruce Colwell. Deanna and Morley Scott recently attended the wedding of 's niece Jorey Helm to Jeff Dudgeon at Inglis Falls. Visiting with John and Joyce Farnell on Sunday evening were Richard and Lorna Cronin of Teeswater. Joyce visited with Anita Dekker on Sunday afternoon. Grey Bruce WI Area Convention was last Thutsday an Keady with 98 WI members present. The October Purple Grove WI meeting was held at the Community Centre with Deanna Scott as hostess. President Joyce Farrell thanked everyone who helped with the food booth and displays and commented on Ripley Fair results.
