The Me To We
club from
Brookside Public
School went once
again to : the Me To
We conference at
the Air Canada.
Centre (ACC) in
Toronto on Oct. 5
where they learned
the importance of
what is• happening
on the world stage.
The club went to
the same' confer, •
ence last year, but
this time it was for
a new group: o f stu-
dents to learn about
what happens in
the world and what
they can do to help.
The conference
itself opened the
student's eyes to
global issues, such
as poverty, educa-
tion and social
change.
For the new
group it was a new
experience, espe-
cially for Grade 7
student Laura
Jakobsen who was
able to - leam, that it
only takes one per-
son to make a
change in the
r Home andCornmunity.

more about what is
happening around
the world..
It was also a star
studded event for
the group as they
