Lancers crush Shallow Lake!
The L' ucknaw Lancers started their season off with s bang on Saturday night as they
took apart the Shallow Labe Crushers 12 - 3 in WOAA Senior A hockey action. The
home opener saw a bevy of fans come out to cheer on their 2009/10 Lancers. The
Lancers break out of their end as they stymmied the Crusher offence for the majori-
ty of the game. See story on page 3.

But there's no such thing
as eliminating risk for - a
public . body, Coleman said.
"Tear up all our -goads,
tear up ail the sidewalks
and don't let people do
anything- that could possi-
bly hurt them it's unrealis-
tic," he said.
"These are essential serv-
ices that (municipalities)
have to provide. They do
their best to try to make
that everybody is safe

Still, Coleman raised the
option of scaling back
potential risks like the
county mountain bike
parks and special events to
cut insurance costs.
But Warden Bill Goetz
isn't buying that argument.
"The answer is not cut-
ting out parades. and stuff,"
he said. He believes the
answer lies with the courts.
