On Tuesday, fed steers and heifers sold $1 - $2' higher. Choice steers and heifers sold 81.00 - 84.00 with sales to 87.75. Second cut sold 78.00_ 81.00. Cows sold $2 - $3 lower. On Thursday, heavy veal sold $ 5 - $1O: lower, regular veal sold $5 lower. Lambs, sheep and goats all sold on a fully steady market. On Friday, calves and year- lings sold on a strong active trade. There were 196 steers on offer. There \were 80 heifers on offer. There were 265 cows on offer. Export type sold 38.00 - 46.00 with sales to 52.00; Beef cows sold :38.00 - 47.00 with sales to 52.50; D1 & D2, 40.00 . - 48.00; D3, 35.00 40.00; D4, 25.00 - 35.00. -There were 11 bails on offer selling. 47.50 - 54.50 .with sales to 57.50. There were '242 head of veal on offer. Beef sold 90.00 - 125.00 with sales to 130.00; good Holstein, 80.00 - 90.00; medium Holstein, 65.00 - 75.00; plain Holstein, 50.00 - 60.00; heavy Holstein, 70.00 - 80.00 with sales to 85.00. Lambs 50 - 65 lbs., 133.00 - 225.00; 65 - 80 lbs., 147.00 - '195.00; 80 - 95 lbs., 146.00 - 187.00; 95 - 110 lbs., 152.00 - 166.00; 110 lbs and over, 96.00 - 167.00. Sheep sold 57.00 - 92.00 with sales to 105.00. Kid goats sold 50.00 - 100.00 with sales to 110.00; nannie goats, 30.00 - 100.00 with sales to 110.00; billie goats, 150.00 - 250.00 with sales to 300.00.
