Total receipts at Brussels
Livestock Market for the
week ending Oct. 2 were
2,180 head of cattle and 685
lambs and goats.
On Tuesday, fed steers and
heifers sold $1 - $2' higher.
Choice steers and heifers sold
81.00 - 84.00 with sales to
87.75. Second cut sold 78.00_
81.00. Cows sold $2 - $3
lower.
On Thursday, heavy veal
sold $ 5 - $1O: lower, regular
veal sold $5 lower. Lambs,
sheep and goats all sold on a
fully steady market.
On Friday, calves and year-
lings sold on a strong active
trade.
There were 196 steers on
offer.
There \were 80 heifers on
offer.
There were 265 cows on
offer. Export type sold 38.00
- 46.00 with sales to 52.00;
Beef cows sold :38.00 - 47.00
with sales to 52.50; D1 & D2,
40.00 . - 48.00; D3, 35.00

Condolences go out to Belle
Mole who received word that her
great granddaughter, Debora
Mole, of Pickering, passed away
at the age of 28. Debora was the
daughter of Dawn Vivian Parson.
Visiting with Belle last week
were her grandson Donald Mole
and his wife Jennifer and two
grandsons.
