Four vie for the Ripley -Huron Fall Fair Ambassador title
Natalie Beishuizen is a first year student
at Niagara College and the daughter of
Derek and Joanne Beishuizen. She enjoys.
playing hockey, basketball and badminton;
running and spending time with family
and friends. Last year she participated in
a student exchange. Natalie volunteers
her time by helping her sisters' hockey
teams and working the booth at the
RipleyArena. Natalie is currently enrolled.
in the International Business Program at
Niagara College and she aspires to pursue
her education further at Brock University,
Her sponsor is R -Villa Retirement Living.
Ashley Blackwell is a Grade 12 student at
K.D.S.S. and the daughter of Bob and Lisa
Blackwell. She is a member of the Ripley
4-H Beef Club and she enjoys scrapbook-
ing, four. wheeling, snowmobiling and
spending time with family and friends.
Ashley .volunteers her time at Trillium
Court. in Kincardine and at the Ripley
Arena food booth. Upon completion of
secondary school, Ashley plans to attend
Fanshawe College In the dental assistant
program and eventually pursue a career
as a dental hygienist. Her sponsor is Face
and Body Aesthetics.

Courtney Graham is a Grade 12 student
at K.D.S.S. and the daughter of Bill and
Heather Graham. She enjoys playing
hockey and baseball, running, scrapbook-
ing and spending time with family and
friends. Courtney volunteers her time at
her church, the Ripley Arena and Ripley-
Huron Community School. She is a bas-
ketball coach and a member of the
Environmental Club at K.IS.S. Courtney
plans to attain a Bachelor. of Science and
ecome a registered nurse. Her sponsor

Lauren Scott is a Grade 12 student at
KC.D.S.S. and the daughter of Murray and
Jackie Scott. Lauren enjoys figure skating,
traveling and spending time with family
and friends. Lauren volunteers her time
for the K.D.S.S. Link Program which
assists grade nines with thein transition
into highschool. She recently participated
in both a mission trip and student
exchange. Lauren is a member of the
Environmental Club at . K i S.S. Upon
completion of high school, Lauren intends
to pursue a university degree in the field
of Science. Her sponsor is MacKCenzie ik

Let's Learn Kindergarten Registration, Fall 2009
Kindergarten Registration for September 2010 will happen this fall at your community school.
Children born in 2006 are eligible to begin Junior Kindergarten in September 2010.
Children born in 2005 are eligible to begin Senior Kindergarten in September 2010.
(Both groups should register this fall, if not already enrolled in school.)
Early registration gives you time to learn what you can do to help your child get ready for school. At registration, you and
your child can meet school and community stat, and learn about community resources in your area.

Lawn bowlers hold year end tourney
The Lucknow Lawn Bowlers
held their last tournament of the
season on Tuesday, Sept. 15,
sponsored by Montgomery
Motors. The Lucknow Lawn
Bowing Club wishes to thank
Montgomery Motors for their
sponsorship.
Players from Saugeen
Shores, Goderich, Seaforth and
Clinton were present making it
six greens in play. Soup and
sandwiches were served for
lunch and the weather cooper-
ated giving the players a pleas-
ant day full of friendly banter
and good competition.
The winner was Brad
Petteplace of Lucknow with
three wins and 45; second place
was Marion Ellis of Saugeen
Shores with two wins and 39
with an over of one; third place
was Murray Trask of Saugeen
Shores with two wins and 38;
fourth place was Dorothy Mero
of Goderich with two wins and
37; fifth place was Rick Elliot
from Seaforth with two wins
and 36 with an . over of one;
sixth place was a tie between
Jack Barr and Ken Chaput both
of Lucknow with two wins and
34, but Jack Barr had one more
end so was awarded sixth
place: Consolation place was
George Cantelon of Clinton
with one win and 33.F.
