Jae Great lineup of events for 146th Lucknow Fall Fair • 1/3Y GARrr REID • Sentinel Staff The Lucknow Agricultural Society will mark its 146th Lucknow Fall Fair this weekend, Sept. '18 to 20. A great line of events is planned for the whole family, with the theme "Dairy More than Milk!" The arena opens at 7 p.m. on Ftiday for the opening ceremonies with the large homecraft and agricultural display. The master of ceremonies for the ifair will be Debbie. Raynard. Local entirtain- ment, • the Lucknow Ambassador and Lil Miss Fair Ambassador competi- tions, a pie and cake auc- tion and field crop winners will:keep you busy for the evening. Events kicking off Saturday _morning are the light horse show, 4-H sheep show, 4-H beef show, and poultry show. The annual parade down Campbell Street starts at 11 a.m4ee the parade ad for lineup locations. An excit- ing addition to the parade will be the Bluewater Shriners. They will be bringing two antique fire trucks, some mini -bikes and mini -fire trucks. In the afternoon, there will be a baby show; enter- taitunent by Double Take; 4-H beef invitational show; dairy show; farm games; new contractorgames; log sawing; midway; '<trolley - ball tournament; Snippity the Clown; magician Daniel Steep; remote con- trol car and truck obstacle course competition. Saturday evening a youth dance for Grades 5 9 vvill be held at the Legion from 7:30 - 10 p.m. The Settler's Creek. Band will be playing at the Sports Complex beginning at 9 p.m. • The fair will wrap up on Sunday with breakfast in the arena, from 8:30 - • 11:30 a.m., a Community Church Service at 10 a.m., pet show at the gazebo and .a Soap Box Derby at 1 p.m. • Gate prices on Vriday are $4 for adults and $3 for students (Grade 8 and 'under). On the Saturday it's $5 for adults and $3 for students.
