Successful show
The Lucknow Horticultural Society held
its annual Flower Show and Tea on
Wednesday, July 15. The event was held at
the. United Church and was. a very success-
ful show.
There were blooms of every shape and
size from tall grasses to miniature 'gardens.
There were lilies, roes, delphiniums and
hostas to name a few in the perennial sec-
tion. The annual section had petunias,
marigolds, cosmos and pansies. Tie
were house plants and floating flowers in
other categories.
The youth section was very innovative
with arrangements of every shape, size and
colour. Congratidations to the young ones
for their imagination. Everyone did a great
job and the volunteers made everyone wel-
come serving tea and goodies. It was a
great venue and a wonderful show.
The next event for the Horticultural
Society is the bus trip coming up on July
29.
