John Kenneth Reid, formerly of Dungannon, passed away at Pinecrest
Manor, Lucknow, Sunday, July 12, 2009 in his 80th year. Beloved son of
the late William J. Reid and Jean Wilson, he was bom on Sept. 3, 1929
in Ashfield Township. Also predeceased by his brother Douglas. He is
survived by sister-in-law Henny Reid of Sarnia, nieces Brenda Reid of
1 River and Lash(John)S of. St.: Louis, Missouri, and nephew

ice was held from the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow,
on Wednesday,�y
Ju 15 with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Peggy
Kinsman officiated. Pallbearers : were John Reid, Brenda Reid, ' Leslie
Siess, Henry Wysman, Rick Smirk and Gord Bouma. Wanda Wilson was
flower bearer. Interment Dungannon Cemetery. Donations to the
Canadian Cancer Society were greatly appreciated as expressions of

Bemadean (Alton) Ritchie, beloved wife of the late Leonard Ritchie of
Lucknow, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Pinecrest Manor
in her 89th year.: She was bom on Dec. 25, 1920 in West Wawanosh
Township to the late Albert Alton and Elizabeth Blake. She . Is survived by
her four daughters: Elizabeth (Murray) Irvin,. RR #7, _ Nancy
(Doug) Aitchison of Lucknow, Audrey (Ken) Hewitt of Lucknow and
Joanne (cord) Brown of Grand Bend. Greatly missed by grandchildren:
Heather (Taylor) Mali of Kitchener, Lynn Irvin (Mark) of Kitchener, Angela
Irvin (Travis) of Teeswater, Daryl (Jackie) Aitchison' of : Ayr, Darlene
Aitchison of Cambridge, Jacqueline Pentland of Sonia, Jason Pentland
of High River, Alberta, Jocelyn and Jamie Pentland bOth of Grand Bend,
Wilson (Tammy) Brown of Grand Bend, Sherry Brown (Mike) of
Thomdale and Mathew Hewitt of Lucknow. Great -grandma of Tyler
Aitchison, Mitch, Jessica, Brayden, Hunter and Tristan Brown. Also sur-
vived by sister Janie, Hogeboom of Napanee, .sister -In-law Dora Alton of
Lucknow and brothers-in-law Lome (Marg) Ritchie of Kincardine,
Clarence (Alice) Ritchie of Lucknow and Mervin (Mae) Ritchie of Blyth.
Leonard and Bemadean were married on May 24, 1952 at her parent's
home in Lucknow. She worked at the nursing home in Lucknow for a
number of years and alongside Leonard as . caretaker of the United
Church and custodian for 20 years of the Lucknow High School and
Lucknow Public School. Visitation was held from MacKenzie & McCreath
Funeral Home, Lucknow, on Friday, July 17. The funeral: service was
held from the chapel on Saturday, July 18 with Rev. C. Harvey officiating.
Pallbearers were grandsons: Daryl, Jason, Jamie, Wilsonand Taylor and
nephew David Hogeboom of Kingston. Flower bearers were grandchil-
dren: Jackie, Heather, Lynn, Darlene, Angela, Jocelyn, Sherry and
Mathew. interment Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. Donations: to the
Lucknow United Church Access Fund or Pinecrest Resident's Council
were greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Portrait and
