Trip to Camp Borden was one of appreciation and gratitude`
From page 1
"I think what the.
Lucknow Kinsmen are
doing for our troops is just
a recognition and a show
of appreciationfor what
these men and women do
for our country," said
'Nolan. "I think it's just a
way of showing our grati-
tude, welcoming them to
our municipality just to
say thank you for every-
thing they do for us as
Canadians."
The Kinsmen who : trav-
elled to. CFB Borden were
all in agreement that their
message for the troops was
one of support and this
was something they could
do to show that. Even
when it's not a time of war,
the • Canadian military
r
always make sacrifices
over family for duty
because they can be sta-
tioned all over Canada and
the world d at ` a moments
notice. One thing the
Kinsmen hope is they can
extend some small town
comfort to the
men and
women of the Canadian
Forces.

McMurray would also
like to see this kind of sup-

future events they hold. He
feels it's important to show
the troops that they are
always being supported by
their fellow Canadians.
"I'd like to see some-

thing," said McMurray.
"It's important, being
Canadian, that we support
our troops and this is'r
