Enbridge Wind Power recently made a donation $2,000 towards the Bruce County
Museum and Cultural Centre's 'Best of the. Bruce Music' Patio Series, which runs_ bi-
weekly from July 8 into August at the museum in Southampton. Members of 10
O'Clock Band, who will be performing in the series, took part in presentation and
played some music. From left to right, band member Raylene Rebryna, Enbridge gen.

BlackHorse seniors
On Monday,
June 22 it was the
first mixed league
at the BlackHorse
golf club. Nineteen
men and women
played nine holes
in a Team
Stableford format.
followed by a nice
Munch. Of course
.some of the "old
dogs" continued
onto the back nine.
The first place
team with a net
nine under par was
Marge Heimpel,
Tom Pegg, Dave
Evans and John
Gross.
The high indi-
vidual winners
were Christine
Evans with 23
points and Ai
Hackett with 24
points.
The longest putt
on number three
was Barb Helm
and on number
seven was Wayne
Farrell. Barb was
almost replaced
when Karen Gross
left a 60' putt eight
inches short. I
won't mention that
we could have tied
for first if this had
been made, but
this would be poor
sportsmanship.
This Stableford
team format was a
lot of fun and kept
everyone involved.
Did I mention that
the ladies didn't
have to golf with
"hubby"? That on
it's own was incen-
tive enough for the
ladies to enjoy
themselves.
Come join us
every Monday at 9
a.m. Please show
up by 8:30 a.m. to
arrange teams.
Thursday, June
25 the Senior
Men's had a lot of
action both on the
track and , lightning
from above. The
game was. delayed
1.5 hours to allow
the light show and
downpour. to pass.
Coffee and fresh-
baked muffins
were a hit for the
show.
Seven teams
braved the ele-
ments for this
week's scramble.
There was a two-
team tie for first
with a Net 68..A1
Bowers, Ted
Knatkowski, Tom
Keenedywith
John Whitten and
Dave Anderson.
John and Dave
were joined by
Richard Papineau
who helped them
run a string of
birdies until he had
to leave. They only
managed three
birdies in the
remaining 12
holes. Wow what a
performance!

Garage sales get clear skies
Carmen and Jean
Whytock returned home
recently from a three
week trip to
Charlottetown, P.E.I to
visit their son Rev. Jack
and Mrs. .Whytock and
family. Their grandson,
who is in university in
Rapid City, Michigan
drove them down and son
Jack drove them back
hole.
On the weekend the
rains stopped, the skies
cleared and on went the
garage sales at the east
end of the village.
