Huron Kinloss Twp. will match the number of the provin- cial and federal shares. Huron -Kinloss Twp. will also be receiving funding for the replacement of the Point Clark Area North West Watermain and road construction at a total cost of $1,009,004. The housing authority has held one meeting with police and social agencies in response to trouble plaguing the 32 -unit adult building, said manager Susan Earle. "Some people are afraid to live in the building," Earle said. "There's vandalism, we suspect some drug problems there, noise problems, the police have been involved, conflicts between tenants, there's been a variety of things?" The county housing authority will tight- en up security by locking common areas and possibly installing surveillance cam- eras. "We want people to feel safe in our buildings. That's the number one thing," Earle said. But' fixing the cause of prob- lems means involving tenants in the solu- tion, she told the county housing commit- tee. "What We're going to do is try to increase security in the building, and then look at social work — some kind of coun- seling — and try to tap into all the social agencies that are available for people to try and help."
