Church to celebrate 146th
Members of the
Kinlough
Presbyterian Church
were busy house-
cleaning the church
in readiness for the
146th anniversary of
the church on May
31.
The Youth Gmup
from Teeswater
served lunch follow-
ing the Sunday
morning service at
Kinlough
Presbyterian
Church. The pro-
ceeds, are going for
their r mission trip.
Some of the
Kinlough youth
attend this group.
On Mother's Day,

Bushell enjoyed a
visit fromd�

on their way to the
cross country races
at Auburn where
their son was com-
peting.

Mostar in Port
Elgin. They all then
travelled to Owen
Sound to visit with
granddaughter
Leslie Morningstar.
Camping and
opening up the trail-
ers for the holiday
weekend seemed to
be the topic of con-
versation. A covered
wagon convoy trav-
elled
rayel ed the surround-
ing
area on the long
weekend to camp
and have a good
tune:

Makenna Haldenby
spent last week with
DJ in Toronto while
he, college
at Hurber.
Erlma Haldenby
visited with Jean
Schneller in
Wngham last
Friday afternoon.
The past week
was a good one,
weatherwise; for
farmers to work
their fields.
Stanley Farm

consignment sale of
farm supplies and
machinery on.
Saturday.Sara and
Raven Haldenby
arrived from
Cochrane on Friday
for a visit with
Maids and relatives:

their minister, Rev.
Harvey Osborne, a
speedy recovery fol-
lowing surgery on

Sympathy is extended
to the family of Donna
Carter. The funeral was
held at South Kinloss
Church on Thursday.
Sympathy also goes
out to the family of
Orville Elliott who has
passed away last week-
end
WI meet at the home of Muriel MacKenzie
The May meeting of the
Kinloss Kairshea WI was
held at the home of
Muriel. MacKenzie in
Wmgham.
The meeting opened
with the institute grace
followed by dessert and
coffee supplied by Muriel
and Joan, with the help of
Gladys and June.
Irene read a poem "I am
Canada" and welcomed
everyone to the culture
meeting.
The opening ode and
Mary Stewart Collect
were repeated followed
by the Scripture. on the
ascension of the Lord.
The minutes of
meeting were read and the
treasurer's report was
given. Members were
chosen to attend the dis-
trict annual. May birth-
days told jokes. The roll -
call; a custom that is
unique to Canadian cul-
ture, was answered by 14
members.
Sharon took over for
the program reading '101
useless facts about
Canada' and two poems
"On Father's bay" and
"Hanging Baskets".
Andrea gave the courte-
sies and the meeting
closed with '0 Canada'
