It was more than nursing for Husk

"They are such
good people, the

Husk reached out
to places in Jinja
that dealt with
children with men-
tal and physical
disabilities.
"It wasn't just
hospital nursing
for me,7 said
Husk. "1 always
have a special
place in my heart
for the 'develop-
mentally disabled
and my experience
with Community
Living. It was nice
to feel .that I had :a
special skill other
than nursing that
vas needed."
The nursing part
of the trip, was an
amazing time for
Husk, but she also
got to take in the
sights and sounds
of a beautiful part
of Africa. For her
the whole time
there was life
changing and any-
thing that can give
a new perspective
on life and the sur-
rounding world is
always a good
thing in her mind.
"Just the nursing
part of it was
amazing, but I also
white water rafted,
bungee jumped
into the Nile River
and when we did
our long trek into
the villages, we
got to the top of a
large hill : and the
view was inde-
scribable," said
Husk.
Husk has noth-
ing set in Stone,
but she would like
to go back to Jinja,
Uganda hopefully
next year and for
longer this time
because she feels
there is so much
more : she can do
there for the peo-
ple.
