The Lancers started out great Saturday night in game three with an important 5-4 win by scoring the win- ning goal with just about a minute = to go. Scoring for the Lancers in game three were Dan Drennan, Luke Drennan, Jonny MacKinnon, Rick Andrew and Kyle Quinn. Assists came from Dennis Andrew, Ryan Murley, Quinn and Anew. Going into gTe four on Sunday it was a roust. - win game for the :Lancers. A win would give = .the Lancers a chance to tie the series up at 2.2: The first period was all Lucan as they controlled the pace of the game with some clear passes and they Iry Edam ral/NM Visitors with Erlma Haldenby on Friday were Michael Arenburg and Helen Classen, of Teeswater, and on Sunday Rev. The , Lancers picked up their play not wanting to be down. 3-1 in the series and started to hit to match Lucan's aggressive play. The aggressive play helped as the Lancers scored a short handed ' goal to chip away at the evening. Many from the area also attended. the . beef supper at the Kinloss Community Centre on Sunday. This was the last supper of the season and the hosts were the village people and highway east: Brad Engel and Lea-An.ne Haldenby joined the Lucknow cubs and scouts on a bus trip to :Toronto on Sunday. They watched the Blue Jays win their game. The Lancers came out of the gate in the third by scoring a big goal right off the bat to make the game a one goal affair. You could see it in the play of the Lancers that they were giving it their all to tie things up, but Lucan answered back with a goal of their own two goals again. 'That didn't deflate the spirit of the Lancers as they kept battling and they scored again with just three min- utes left hi the game to once again bring the ' score back to a one goal lead for the Jets. The Lancers bat- tled to the very last second of the game, but to no avail they fell short, losing the. game by a score of 4-3. Scoring for the Lancers were Mark Stanley, and Ean Moffat. Assists came from Drennan and Andrew. The Lancers will have to win all of their games from .now on in order to take the champi- onship from Lucan and they will try to do that this Friday night in Ilderton at 8:30 p.m. The Lancers are back home this Saturday night at 8 p.m. if they force a game six.
