The Lucknow
Lancers dropped
the first two games
of their Senior A,
'A' championship
series against the
Lucan-Ilderton Jets
and looked to
bounce back from,
those losses.
The Lancers
started out great
Saturday night in
game three with an
important 5-4 win
by scoring the win-
ning goal with just
about a minute = to
go.
Scoring for the
Lancers in game
three were Dan
Drennan, Luke
Drennan, Jonny
MacKinnon, Rick
Andrew and Kyle
Quinn. Assists
came from Dennis
Andrew, Ryan
Murley, Quinn and
Anew.
Going into gTe
four on Sunday it
was a roust. - win
game for the
:Lancers. A win
would give = .the
Lancers a chance
to tie the series up
at 2.2:
The first period
was all Lucan as
they controlled the
pace of the game
with some clear
passes and they

The second peri-

goals, but the
Lancers were win -
dictate the play.
The control in play
by, Lucan allowed
them to score two
quick goals to
close out the first
period and take a
commanding 2-0
lead.
Lucan took ` the
momentum .into.. the
second period as
they scored just six
seconds into the
period.
The , Lancers
picked up their
play not wanting to
be down. 3-1 in the
series and started
to hit to match
Lucan's aggressive
play.
The aggressive
play helped as the
Lancers scored a
short handed ' goal
to chip away at the
evening.
Many from the
area also attended.

m heading
into the third peri-
od.
The Lancers
came out of the
gate in the third by
scoring a big goal
right off the bat to
make the game a
one goal affair.
You could see it
in the play of the
Lancers that they
were giving it their
all to tie things up,
but Lucan
answered back
with a goal of their
own
two goals again.
'That didn't
deflate the spirit of
the Lancers as they
kept battling and
they scored again
with just three min-
utes left hi the
game to once again
bring the ' score
back to a one goal
lead for the Jets.
The Lancers bat-
tled to the very last
second of the
game, but to no
avail they fell
short, losing the.
game by a score of
4-3.
Scoring for the
Lancers were Mark
Stanley, and
Ean Moffat.
Assists came from
Drennan and
Andrew.
The Lancers will
have to win all of
their games from
.now on in order to
take the champi-
onship from Lucan
and they will try to
do that this Friday
night in Ilderton at
8:30 p.m. The
Lancers are back
home this Saturday
night at 8 p.m. if
they force a game
six.
The Lucknow
Lancer fans will be
behind their team
to force game
seven and if that
happens things will
go back to llderton
on Sunday at 5:30
p.m.
