brings big names in,
for inaugural event

The sound of country
• music will be bitting the
good old outdoors of
Lucknow on Aug. 22. The
inaugural Music in the
Fields,being presented by
the Lucknow Kinsmen,
• will see a strong lineup of
country music stars. The
one day event will run
from around 12 p.m: until 1
a.m. on the Luckriow
Soccer fields. ,
On Thursday, April 16,
the Kinsmen released the
lineup for Music in the
•Fields as they made the
announcement at
Finlayson's restaurant to -
the Kinsmen committee,
the various service clubs in
• Lucknow, MP of Huron
Bruce Ben Lobb and
Huron -Kinloss Twp.
Mayor Mitch Twolan.
Country superstar
Johnny Reid, the headliner
of the concert, is a plat-
inum -selling artist who
currently has his third stu-
dio album out, Dance With
Me and it has already hit
gold in Canada for record
sales. He also has two other
popular album's in Kicking
Stones and Born to Roll.
The band Doc 11Valker,
who have recently- come
off --a Canadian Juno award
for country recording of
the year, will also be at the
event to put on a show for
the crowd:
The concert will also see

George Canyon perform at
the fun filled one day
event. .

things, like where and how
the money was raised, local ..
to support the community.
"It's really important for
us (Kinsmen)' to raise
money or the service
clubs, like the Lions, •
Legion, -•'Agricultural
Society and any other serv-
ice club," said MCMun'ay.
'It can be done through
camping, vendor, food
booth or anything. It's very
important for us that
money is raised for all
