A friend of the Haldenby family, Kory Earle, of Carlton Place, was on the televi- sion show, 'The R Word' which aired on the Omni channel on Sunday evening.. The show talked about institutions for the mentally and physically disabled, the abuse of the patient's, the hardships of families, problems of integration and the need for support systems and understand- ing in communities. Kory works for People. First, a group that works to have the disabled respected, loved and accept- ed as people living in our communities. The Kinloss Community Centre had another successful supper on Sunday afternoon. The Kingarf North area was in charge of the roast beef dinner.
