The finalists for the 2009 Ontario's Outstanding
Young Farmers' (OOYF) competition have just been
announced. Selected from over 20
nominations, the top six farmers are:
- Kevin and Jo -Ann MacLean, dairy,
Napanee
- Shawn and Tara McRae, cash crop,
Bainsville
- Jason and Christina Pyke; bison,
Wolfe Island
- Jeff and Eleanor Robinson, dairy,
Osgoode
- Edwin Sterrenburg, dairy goats,
Stayner
Len and Tracey Vis, dairy,
Jer*eyville
These six finalists now head to the
Provincial Convention being held in
conjunction with the Western Fair
Farm Show at the Four Points by Sheraton, in London
from. March 9 - 11th where their interview and presen-
tations skills will be evaluated by a panel of judges.
