Alzheimer Society golf tournament will help a good cause

year and a partnership with

Alzheimer Society .does in
the local community is rec-
ognized and appreciated,"
Barker said..
The golf sponsorship is an
expansion of an existing
relationship with the
Investors Group, which also
provides sponsorship for the
annual Forget -Me -Not Tree
campaign and the
Alzheimer Coffee Break
each fall.
The Alzheimer Society of
Grey -Bruce provides infor-
mation, education, support
and counselling services to
persons with Alzheimer's
Disease and related disor-
ders, and to their families
and caregivers. Donations
and funds raised through
events like the golf tourna-
ment stay in the Grey -Bruce
community to meet the
growing needs of thelocal
population, Barker said.
The third annual Fore the
Memories charity golf tour-
nament will be held on
Friday, June 12 at the Owen
Sound Golf and Country •
Club. Registration is $135
per golfer and includes
lunch, 18 -holes of golf in a .
scramble format, cart, din-
ner and a wide selection of
prizes.

Huron -Perth Farm
to Table's Good
Food Box program.

to county council
March 4, replete
with goodie bags
including locally
grown rutabagas,

perks of the pro-
gram, which is
delivered monthly
to 11 locales.
The idea behind
theprogram, says.
Muegge, is multi-
pronged. One
aspect is to provide
county residents
with . a nutritious
array of locally
grown produce at a
reasonable price,
the second is to sup-
port local farmers
and the . third its to
educate consumers
about the types of
foods grown here.
"We have some
customers who like
to buy it because it's
like Christmas
every month," notes
Dunbar.
There are still

Good Food Box
program, says
Muegge, citing the
