Health Canada Adviso
on RetroFoam Insulation
Health Canada was recently advised that RetrOirosivi
installed in a ladled number of hones in torttatio.This pooduot
is prohibited for sale in Canada.
Health Canada is informing consumers that RetroFoam insulation is
a urea formaldehyde -based thermal insulation, a type of insulation
that has been prohibited for sale in Canada under the Hazardous
Products Act since December 1980, as it may release formaldehyde
gas Into indoor air.
Health Canada Issued a 'cease and desist" letter to RetroFoam
of Canada Incorporated, the Canadian importer of the insulation,
to stop all importation and sale of .RetroFoam in Canada. Health
Canada also instructed Enerliv, the Canadian distributor of
RetroFoam, to stop all sale, advertisement and further installations
of the product and to call back any unused product. As a result of
Health Canada's actions, RetroFoam is no longer available for sale
or installation in Canada.
Health Canada will be -communicating with affected homeowners to
provide further details on how they can obtain Government support
for having their indoor air quality tested.

Lancers ousted out of 'AA' playoffs by tough Elora team
The Lucknow
Lancers' series with
the Elora • Rocks
came to an end on
Wednesday night in
Elora. The . Rocks
won the series 4-1.
Game three took
place Feb. 13 in
Elora. The Rocks
came. out flying and
scored tree. goals
in the first five min-
utes. The Lancers -
gained their com-
posure and began
to play better hock-
ey and were
rewarded with a
power play goal
late in the period.

scored with help
from Brad Burton
and Brian Stanley. .
The Lancers
played excellent in
.the second period
and kept the Rocks
off the score sheet.
Luke Drennan got a
goal by out work-
ing the Elora
defence and putting
in a rebound.
Jonny MacKinnon
and Burton picked
up the helpers.
Going into the
third the Lancers
had all of the
momentum and
came out flying and
forced the Rocks to
take three penalties.
Ort the . third power
play Stanley struck
again with help.

boys had battled all
the way back from
a threegoal deficit
totie they game' at
the . 9:01 mark of
the third.. With just
over . four . minutes
to play the Lancers
were penalized and
Elora's power play
clicked giving them
the lead. The guys
worked hard and
put pressure on in
the last minutes of
the period but -were
unable to find ` the
back of the net.
Elora scored in the
dying seconds giv-
ing. them a 5-3 win
and a 2-1 lead in
the series.
Game a four took
place in -Lucknow,
and was a game
where the boys just
could not get any-
thing going. Elora
gave Lucknow
problems _ in all
areas of the ice. It
was an off night
and it seemed that
the ha rd�er the team
worked the worse it
got. Elora seemed&
to capitalize on
every Lancer mis-
take.
The final score
was 7-1. Mark
Stanley scored the
lone goal with Rick
Andrew and
Murley drawing the
assists.
With their backs
to the wall the
Lancers travelled to
Elora and played
one of their best
games of the sea-
son. Elora scored
two .. goals in the
first period and
took that lead ,into
the second.
Ryan Murley got
Lucknow on the
score board early in
the second when he
fired a . low hard
shot from the ; face
off; . That goal
sparked the
Lancers and five
minutes later Brad
Burton broke in on
a breakaway and.
scored 'to tie the
game. Elora got
two goals before
Curlers have fun at bonspiel

junior curlers had a fun
bonspiel on Jan. 31 with
teams from Kincardine,
Teeswater and Ripley.
The Pine River Cheese
"Sweetheart" Spiel was
held Feb. 14 at the club.
The early draw winners
were team. Martin - Skip
Daniel Martin, third Eric
Martin, second Grant
Martin and lead Sharon
Martin. Other teams were:
Ron Finlay, Murray
Yungblut, Ken Phillips,
Tom Downey and Peter
McNay. Late draw win-
ners and "repeat"
Champions are the Mark

lead_ going into the
third.
The .boys worked
hard throughout the
third and had many
chances but Elora's
goalie was- on top
of his game making
many big saves.
With the Lancers
serving a ,too -many
men on the ice
penalty, Elora
scored their fifth
goal at the 8:23
mark. Like they
have done all sea-
son, the team did
not _ quit. Kyle
Quinn scored to
give the Lancers
some life with just
over four' minutes
left to play. James
Mann helped set up
the goal, The last
four minutes was
played in the Elora
end but the team
Bowley rink. Members
were Mark and. Dianne
Bowley . and Cathy and
Randy Lemon. Other
teams were: Lynn
Courtney, James
MacDonald, Kevin
Osborne, Brian Thompson,
Regan Hori.
We welcome some of
the classes from the Ripley
Huron Community School
for the next four weeks as
they come and learn about
the great sport of Curling.
