They will be there for two weeks and hope to make a difference in the world by helping others. They also hope to change their own perspectives on life by wit- nessing how 80 per cent of the world's population lives. Earlier this year, St. Anne's Catholic Secondary School invited Marc Kielburger to speak to area youth. Marc Kielburger is the Chief Executive Director of Free the Children, the world's largest network of children helping children through education. He has changed the lives of •millions of young people and St. Anne's students were no exception. His message of hope was enthusi tically received as he promoted his philosophy that moves from 'Me to We'. Craig and Marc Kielburger challenged Ontario youth to raise enough money this year to build 100 schools in developing countries. St. Anne's Catholic Secondary School presented Marc with a cheque for $8,500 on Nov. 6 with the. money raised from their annual walk -a -thou fundraiser. They were the first school to participate in the provincial challenge.. The youth wanted to take their support to : the next level by traveling to Kenya to actual- ly build the school. Students from Seaforth, Exeter, Goderich, Bayfield, Blyth, Zurich, Mount Carmel, Brussels and Clinton are excited to be heading off on a journey of a lifetime. They will be planning several different fundraisers over the next six months and are asking for the support of their communities. These students are embracing the words of Gandhi, "You must be the change that you wish to see in the world".
