The Heart and
Stroke Foundation
helps people
everyday, especial-
ly in the month of
February, since it's
Heart Month. This
is the time of the
year that volun-
teers from the
smallest to the
largest communi-
ties get_ out and

money for the

Foundation.
Lucknow , is no
different, where
many people take
time out of their
schedules to help
this cause. Lillian
Abbott is one of
those people and
she has been can-
assing for the
Heart and Stroke
Foundation for
almost 20 years
through the
Kinettes.
Abbott believes
it's something
that's very impor-
tant to everybody
because it impacts
the lives of so
many people
everyday.
The Heart and
Stroke Foundation
of Grey Bruce,
which Abbott can-
vasses for, does a
lot with the money
it receives, which
in 2007 totaled
$117,800 and that
was just the door-
to-door • campaign
done in the Grey
Bruce area.
A majority of
this money goes
into research,
health promotion
and community
programs, which go out to collect
