HAMILTON
In loving memory of our dear Grandpa, Dinnie.
When we lose someone we love,
-It seems that time stands still.
What moves through us is a silence,
A quiet sadness, a longing for one more day,
one more touch.
We may not understand why you left.
We weren't ready to say goodbye.
But little by little we begin to remember,
Not just that you died, but that you Lived.
Your life gave us memories too beautiful to for-
get.
We will see you again some day in a heavenly
place,
Where there are no words that mean goodbye.

HAMILTON
In loving memory of a dear husband and father,
Dinnie, who passed away one year ago, Feb.
9, 2008.
Our hearts are full of memories,
We treasure them with care,
The way you had to leave us,
Will always seem unfair.
Sad are the hearts that loved you,
Silent the tears that fall,
Living our lives without you,
Is the hardest part of all.
In all that life has given us,
And all that is left to do,
We will never have a greater gift,
Than the times we spent with you.
Lovingly remembered by: Dorothy, Graham
and Barb, Greg and Deb, Paul and Andrea. -

Recycling pro-
grams ' and fees
vary across ;the
county in spite of a
10 -year old master
plan.
`We are all over
the place with how
we do the diver-
sion," county engi-
neer Brian Knox.
said about a patch-
work of systems
aimed diverting 50
per cent of waste
from landfill.
That target
remains an elusive
one.
The master. plan
directive for waste
reduction - educa-
tion has had little
attention over . the
years, Knox said,
and efforts to keep
accurate tabs on
landfill use is ham-
pered by the fact
just.a couple of the
more than a dozen
landfills in the
county have weigh
scales.
That master plan
on landfill capacity
and recycling
proved to be highly
controversial when
it .was developed in
1998,.just before
restructuring
reduced the num-
ber . of municipali-
ties in Bruce coun-
ty from 31 to eight.
Knox is recom-
mending a soft-
pedalled approach
this time around.
He recommended
steerng away from
contentious issues
like mandatory
clear garbage bags.
Instead he suggest-
ed going for 'easy
wins' and promot-
ing programs that
already have good
public support.
Master plan.
The public is
ready to do more
about waste man-
agement and the
environment,. said
Huron. -Kinloss
mayor Mitch
Twolan.
"People know
it's coming and it's
just a matter of
implementing if
people know it's a
county wide initia-
tive I think they'll
buy into it," he
said.
