Alzheimers is something to
be informed about always
From page '1
"Sometimes I give her little exercises,
like I'll say pear, peaches and plums.
Then five minutes later I'll ask her to
repeat it. She might get one of them. It's
one thing I've learned from going to
meetings," said Breckles.
One of the main things Breckles takes
from this is that he is grateful to be with
his wife and -that he knows some people
have it worse off than him and his wife.
He app eciates the time he bas with his
wife and •knows dealing 'with Alzheimers
isn't a burden, but just one of those things
that happens along the road of life.
There are always hurdles and obstacles
in life to get over and get around, but for
Breckles growing old with his wife is a
most precious thing.
During Alzheimers awareness month
it's important to •stay informed.
