CAR OVERTURNED.
Two Listowiel;young men while on
their way home friom ('rand Bend inn
coupe met with painful injuries on
Sunday night last. They were passing
a buggy and driving too close to the
ditch their car overturned with the
result that the occupants received
serious cuts from ;the broken glass of
the windshield. The two men were
brought to Exeter and their wounds
dressed by Dr. Graham, after which
they were able to proceed to Listowel„

Mr, T. R. Ferguson of St. 'Phomas,
formerly of the. Molsions Bank, Exe-
ter, passed through town an, Thursday
evening on;his way, to St. Thomas, af-
ter -having attended. the funeral of his
father, Mr. Dougall, Ferguson in Tees-
tvater. The late Mr. Ferguson was
recently operated on in 'Toronto, ••and
the operation was supposed to have
been a success, but pneumonia set
in,: and he died. on. August 25th. He
was 67 years of age and wail known to
many Exeter people as a bowler. 1 -le
was widely and favorably known in
and around Teeswater, where he spent
most of his lice This is the third

for over twenty years and during that
time notes many changes and improve-
ment in the old town.
