Jaynes Street and Centralia Girls 'soft
ball teams played a good game to
a tie, 18-18, on the local diamond on
Thursday night, with a large crowd
of spectators present. Trueman ~Bile
and J. G. Cochrane were umpires.
In th,e first of three play-off games
of soft 'ball on Monday evening James
,Street defeated Trivitt Memorial by
the score of 8-5. The second game
will be played on Thursday night.
In hard ball Dashwood and Exeter
played a tie game, 3-3, on Tuesday
evening in, Dashwood,, The return
game will, be played here on Friday,

Rea Canon Collins of Sarnia, a
Conner rector of the Trivitt Meaner -
Lai Church, Exeter, met with a pair, -
Eta and unfortunate motor accident at
Watford recently, which may result en
hien losing the use of two fingers of
bis left hand, He was admitted to the
Sarnia Hospital, where the injured hand
received treatment, but later he was
able to•return to his home. The fing-
ers were severely hurt and it is not yet
certain that 'their use will be. regained,
A ring he was wearing was the rause
of the tendons of the two fingers
being cut.
