'Farewell tea' planned Dec. 23 for retiring staff member
Larry McQuarrie of Stratford pro-
vided musical entertainment at the
Queensway Nursing Home for the
November Birthday Party Thursday,
Nov. 26, with his versatile style and
wide repertoire of songs.
Several of the Birthday celebrants
were fortunate to have family mem-
bers join them for the evening which
certainly added to their enjoyment.
Lemon Cream Birthday cake and
juice were served to everyone in at-
tendance.
Fun & .Fitness with Mandi start-
ed the week for residents Monday
morning with . range of motion exer-
cises, weight training, ball toss and
parachute work, which doesn't feel
like work at all as residents shout
t
encouragement to each other.
Following exercises Marsha •en-
sured the residents benefitted from a
mental aerobic workout with quizzes
and games to stimulate mental func-
tion. Residents gather every Mon-
day, Wednesday and Friday. in the
sunroom-forr their workouts.
In the afternoon Bethel Reform
women provided assistance at bingo.
Later in the morning Pastor Co-
lin Snyder of the Varna and Goshen
United Churches led worship for res-
idents with resident Marjorie Free-
man as volunteer pianist.
Auxillary volunteer, Donna Smale
was in on Wednesday afternoon to
assist with the euchre program and
in the evening,
student activa-
tion aides had
residents playing
the Wii game.
