Comrade Rick Fortune would like to thank all the volunteers who helped with the poppy drive. Our ,church service was held .at St. Thomas Anglican Church this year. The Branch's Honours and Awards dinner was well attended and many awards were given out. Special pins included 65 -year pins to Frank Phil- lips, Jack Eisler and Ken Coombs, a 70 -year pin to Norman Young and a life membership award to Ken Coombs for many years of work and comrade- ship in the Legion. A great crowd gathered at the ceno- taph to watch the parade led by Piper Gord Grozier. Pipe bands from Clin- ton and Goderich Legions entertained everyone in the afternoon. A memorial service was held Sat- urday, Nov. 14 at Northside United Church for Comrade Cliff Waddington with Major Frank Golding in charge. On Saturday, Nov 14, four teams were at a Blyth cribbage tournament and all qualified to go on to Kitchen- er Jan. 9. They were Comrades Ron Henderson, Dave Watson, Jay Carter, Don Tremeer, Ed Baker, Jack Eisler, Jack Muir, Rick Albrecht, Dave But- ton, Cheryl Nuhn, Mike Meidinger and Gwen Harburn. The Country Dances are going well at the Legion. The next one will be on Dec. 5. There is also a dinner and dance on New Year's Eve. See Com- rade Joe Steffler. for tickets.
