1Oyearold's wish to visit Disney World granted
fan Schwab
October 29 is a day that 10 -year-
old Jason Lamont will most likely
never forget.
Back in September, Jason, a
Grade 5 student at Seaforth Pub-
lic School who was born blind, was
accepted as one of almost 80 chil-
dren selected to be a part of the
Sunshine Foundation's Dreamlift
Program..
The program is only eligible for
kids ages three to eighteen who are
terminally ill, or those living with
a severe disability.
On Oct. 29, Jason flew out of Lon-
don International Airport at 5 a.m.
and arrived in Orlando, FL. around
8 a.m.
"I had two wishes come true that
day," Jason says. "I wanted to fly
on a plane and I wanted to go to
Disney World."
He rode on Splash Mountain,
drove racing cars, rode a train
through Disney's Magic Kingdom,
snacked on hotdogs and apple slices
and met Goofy and Donald Duck.
Each child on the trip was given
$60 U.S. to spend on souvenirs
and Jason brought home a Disney
t -shirt and Mickey Mouse ears,
along with a pair of Minnie Mouse
ears for his younger sister Jessica,
6.
"I always wanted to go to Disney
World," Jason says. "They make
your dreams come true."
While at Disney World, Jason and
the nearly 80 other children were
accompanied by two volunteers
each. Jason was taken around the
park by a CNIB rehab worker and
a London police officer.
After returning home, Jason and
his parents Tracy and Ray had two
plaques made up for Jason's two
guides that day. The plaques both
featured a picture of Jason meeting
Goofy. They were inscribed with the
words: "Thank you for making Dis-
ney the best day ever. Your friend,
Jason Lamont." Underneath the
text, the same message is written
in Braille.

MUNICIPALITY OF HURON EAST
CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
FOR SANITARY SEWAGE SERVICING
(COMMUNITY OF EGMONDVILLE)
THE PROJECT:
The Municipality of Huron East initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) in 2007 to
determine the most appropriate method to extend municipal sanitary servicing to the community of
Egmondville. Phase I of the study established a need within the community due to deficiencies identified with
existing on-site sewage disposal (septic) systems. The second public meeting, which was held in June of this
year, presented a summary of various servicing alternatives available to extend municipal servicing to
Egmondville. A preferred servicing alternative has now been selected by the Technical Steering Committee
(TSC) formed in conjunction with the study. The TSC is recommending that traditional gravity sewers be
utilized to service the community of Egmondville. Detailed information on the preferred alternative, as well as
all of the servicing alternatives that were considered, is now available for input and review.
CLASS EA PROCESS:
The planning for this project is following the environmental screening process established for Schedule B
activities under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) document. Schedule B
projects are approved subject to the completion of Phases 1 & 2 of the Class EA process. The purpose of
the screening process is to identify any potential environmental impacts associated with the proposal and to
plan for appropriate mitigation of any impacts.
• PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT:
As part of the public consultation program developed for this project, a Public Information Meeting has
been scheduled to advise residents of the current study investigations and to receive additional input from
interested parties.
