Hospital has dou- bled its number of available neonatal intensive care unit beds. Perth -Wellington MPP John Wilkin- son announced Tuesday the addition of three more neonatal beds to the hos- pital's state-of-the-art pediatric unit. SGH now has six neonatal care beds in its special -needs nursery. Wilkinson told hospital staff and guests that more moms and their new- borns can now get access to intensive care closer to home. "There is ... a need here locally," he said. Babies who are born premature or full-term with special needs often have to be cared for outside of the city, sometimes outside of the province, he said. There is often frustration felt with- in the maternal child unit, "when 43.
