The fundraiser for Seaforth Ringette brought a regular season game to town and the final score was 10-1 for Waterloo. "It was one of the first regular sea- son games on the schedule so we're lucky to have them here," said Dave Garrick, president of Sea - forth Ringette. He said Waterloo was in second place and Whitby in fifth before the game began. "Whitby is missing a few girls with the flu so I don't think the score is a true reflection of their capability," said Garrick. Garrick said that along with rais- ing money for the league, the na- tional game helps to inspire local ringette players, letting young girls know what levels of play they can achieve. "I think we gained about -six girls back from hockey after they saw last year's game," he said, adding that the players were 16 and 17-year- olds. Seaforth Ringette now has a web- site up and running with scores and schedules at eteamz.com/sea- forthringetteassociation.
