Radars pick up first win of season The Clinton Radars picked up their first win of the season on Friday night by defeating the Milverton 4 -Wheel Drives 5-3. Trailing 1-0 midway through the first period, the Radars Ryan Watterworth scored his first senior hockey goal to even the contest. The Ra- dars took the lead just over two minutes later on a goal from Nathan Regier. Late in the period, Jason Grenier scored to put the Radars up 3-1. Milverton battled back with two goals in the second to tie the game until Kris Hamden scored to give the Radars a 4-3 lead after two periods. Luke Vick scored a powerplay goal with four and a half minutes left to play to cap off the scoring and give the Radars the two goal victory. Cam Becker got the win in goal. Adam Leon- hardt picked up two assists. Nick VanderBurgt, Tom Harburn, Jarrod Shugg, Jamie Jongsma, Grenier and Watterworth all added one helper. The Radars record is now 1 win, 2 losses and 1 shoot-out loss. The Radars are on the road for two games this weekend. OnFriday (Oct.30) they play in Monk - ton (2 wins, 1 loss).
