Functions and Responsibilities:
• provide administrative support, including private and confidential secretarial assistance to the Director's Office and the Board of Trustees
as assigned;
• preparation and distribution of agenda and minutes as required;
• provide accurate recording of the Committee meetings, Senior Staff Meetings and Board Meetings as required;
• maintain all records and files as required for the efficient operation of the Director's Office;
• provide support to other departments as assigned by the Director's Office; and,
• assume essential tasks in the absence of the Administrative Assistant.
Education and Experience:
• post -secondary education/training in secretarial/office administration and one year of secretarial/administrative experience or
equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Prerequisites:
• ability to accurately record and transcribe meeting minutes;
• excellent keyboarding and computer -literacy skills, including proven working knowledge of industry -standard office programs;
• ability to problem -solve, prioritize and multi -task in a busy environment;
• proven professional, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and a high degree of confidentiality; and,
• availability for evening and weekend meetings as required.

Home Help Coordinator
Full-time, contract position - Nov. 2009 to March 31, 2010
Home Help provides assistance with tasks around the home, such as light
housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, caregiver support, grocery
shopping and other errands. Working in Huron County, the Home Help
Coordinator will develop individual care plans, oversee client services, and
supervise staff providing Horne Help services.
Qualifications. and responsibilities include:
• Community college diploma in a program related to services for seniors, combined
with 2-3 years, of related experience
• Proficiency in use of computer (Word, Excel, Microsoft Office) and office equipment.
• Demonstrated problem solving, assess situations, set priorities and decision making
skills.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to be adaptable, build relationships, focus on
clients needs and communicate effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, typing and time management skill.
• Valid driver's license , insurance and use of vehicle

Functions and Responsibilities:
• assist in sorting and distribution of department mail, electronic mail, faxes and other material;
• schedule, organize and prioritize of the flow of information, submissions and reports;
• draft memoranda, documents, letters, reports;
• type, edit, proofread and finalize all correspondence;
• ' prepare agendas and materials, take meeting minutes, make arrangements for committee and other meetings as well as workshops;
