A"Cadillac" design for an im-
proved, expanded and accessi-
blearena in Seaforth is being
displayed for public comment,
both at the arena and on the
municipal website.
But, unless a large and mo-
tivated group is . recruited
to fundraise for the project,
some of the plans will have to
be dropped or modified, says
McKillop Coun. Andrew Flow-
ers, who is also the current
chair of the Seaforth arena
board.
"We might have to get rid
of some of the options on the
Cadillac and look at what we
could live without," he says.
A Recreational Infrastruc-
ture Canada grant was re-
ceived by the Seaforth arena
three months ago, providing
$696,778 - $348,389 from both
the provincial and the, federal
governments - for necessary'
improvements to. the 25-year-
old

roes radiothon is a little bit lower than
usual, Ron Lavoie says this year's re-
sults are "tremendous."
"It might be a little bit lower than
usual but the tough economic times
have touched everyone," he says of
attempts to reach a $50,000 goal to-
wards the hospital's new digital x-ray
machine.
Lavoie adds that during the five
years the Seaforth hospital foundation
has been involved in the radiothon,
over a quarter of a million dollars has
