Branch visiting hospital to honour veterans
Fall is here with summer weather
and the Legion is again getting ready
for a very busy fall.
Legion Week will be held Sept. 20
to26.
The branch will be visiting Park -
wood Hospital on Sept. 26 with four
of our comrades going. Each branch
has been asked for 10 goodie bags for
our veterans.
The membership drive .is again on
this fall starting on Sept. 25 with a
chicken wing supper under the ca-
pable hands of Comrade Cub and his
crew.
Service Officer Randy Groundwa-
ter will be visiting
our branch on Oct.
9. Anyone wishing to
see him is asked to get
in touch with Comrade Doug Jones:
The District Convention will be
held in Hespler on Oct. 17 and 18.
The London Auxiliary had a very
successful quilt draw with the win-
ners Annie Sallows, Sherry Oliver
and Kay Mallioux.
Comrade Margaret Sharp will be
celebrating ' her 90th birthday on
Sept. 27 with a reception at the Le-
gion Hall.
Zone cribbage will be held at
Branch 440, Blyth
on Nov. 14. Sign
up at the branch'
before Oct. 31.
The Veterans' Annual Dinner will
be held at Exeter Branch 167 on Oct.
25.
Nov. 7 will be our Remembrance
Dinner and Honours and Awards
night. Tickets will be at the bar.

The Sept-. 15 meeting of the can order from Vision Dark
