Hullett walkers wrap up season
The Wednesday Night Hullett Walkers finished a
season of walking on the water at the Hullett Con-
servation Area the last Wednesday of August.
Dwain Forrest from Timber's Outfitters brought
out canoes and kayaks and after a basic talk on
paddling, the group tried them out.
A great time was had by all and maybe canoes
and kayaks will be on some of our Christmas lists
this year. We then went back to the Main Office of
the Hullett for refreshments and goodies. It was a
perfect ending to a perfect season of walking.
The year started off in mid April. The walking
group had an awesome year, the weather was great,
the bugs were few and the sunsets amazing.
A few of the highlights were seeing the Canada
Geese nest up close, turtles laying their eggs, a
great horned owl, black terns, moorhens, and bea-
ver.
The camaraderie and friendships make the week-
ly walks something to look forward to. •
Our dogs also add entertainment as they seem to
know when it is, Wednesday ,night.
