Larry McGrath wants to see a gen- erator installed in case it ever happens again. "We'd just need a six -circuit panel. It's not that expensive to do,"said McGrath, adding that he'd like to be able to respond locally if someone is trapped in the elevator and there's a medical issue or : an extended power outage. "It's imperative that ev- erybody is trained as well," he said, referring to staff at buildings, like the library, where there are elevators. Mayor Joe Seili pointed out that the county staffs the li- brary, not Huron East and McGrath suggested a reg- istered letter be, sent to the county requesting its staff be trained. Because Huron East owns the Seaforth library building, Clerk -Administrator Jack McLachlan said the munici- pality could install a plug and switch to allow a generator to be plugged into the elevator to provide enough power to re- lease someone trapped during a cower outage. We'll look into the cost of that. It will depend on the el- evator company as well," he said. AMB chair reserves decision on appeal to zoning of subdivision. at former'pubflc school site Sujan Hgndertmark The decision of an Ontario Munici- pal Board hearing about a proposed subdivision development at the former Seaforth Public School site on Market Street held last Thursday and Friday at town hall was reserved to a later date. And, whiffs the four neighbours who appeared as appellants at the hearing continued to express concerns about the density, the loss of green space, infrastructure and increased traffic caused by the proposed development, lawyers for both the municipality of Huron East and developers Aback Holdings Ltd. asked that the OMB deny the appeal and uphold the zon- ing bylaw to allow the development to go ahead.
