about her discussions with devel-
oper Brian Barnim and the clean up
of the site.
McGrath told council he was "ap-
palled" by the letter Barnim sent
to the bylaw enforcement officer on
July 8.
The letter responds to a request to
cut the grass, which Was recorded as
12 to 16 inches long, by saying the
grass is being maintained at a level
acceptable according to municipal
bylaw.
"Just as an FYI, my lawn mainte-
nance cost for this season are already
in excess of $700, not bad for not cut-
ting the grass. 1 personally no „longer
give a `rat's ass' about the neighbours
and their wants and needs," said the
letter.
McGrath pointed out that because
the piles of rubble from the torn
down school building are still sitting
on the property, the town should not
be obligated to pay the $125,000 it
agreed to pay towards the construc-
tion of Robert Street.
"We've bent over backwards and
nothing's been done on the clean up,"
he said.
• McGrath said he wanted to. put
forth a motion to withdraw the mon-
ey.
Seaforth Coun. Bob Fisher agreed
saying the municipality gave the de-
veloper several months' extension on
the clean up but nothing has been
done.
"People are frustrated and I can
understand their frustration," said
Fisher.
But, Clerk -Administrator Jack
McLachlan responded that the issue
of the $125,000 would be addressed
at the OMB hearing.
McGratli also pointed out that he's
heard from the
neighbours that a

paved in the near future.
Don Eaton, of Egmondville wrote a letter to Huron East
council complaining about the state of Stapleton Avenue,
which he said was on the agenda for paving two years
ago..
"The street has been reduced to a gravel road with pot-
holes. This past spring, most of the asphalt that was left
was on our lawn, said the letter.
Eaton added that dust from passing traffic on the busy.
street makes it impossible to open the house windows.
*I trust something can be done about this street," said
the letter. •
