Heavy rains welcomed last week by residents
Summer is here in Winthrop. The
last few days have been hot and
mostly humid. We've waited over a
month for this.
Thursday's rain was both heavy
and needed. Our hydro only flick-
ered but I understand other areas
were out for a longer
period of time.
The service at
Cavan United Church
on Sunday was led by Kathy Doug-
las. Several Cavan members also
participated. Greeters and collectors
were Francis and
Carol Hunt. Next
